1. Why are you running for office, and what previous experience makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

In addition to my passion for improving public safety, economic development, and city services, I believe that strong leadership and effective governance are essential for ensuring that our community thrives. I am committed to working collaboratively with community members, local businesses, and other stakeholders to identify and address the challenges facing our community, and to build a more vibrant, equitable, and sustainable future for all residents.

2. If elected, what do you hope to accomplish in this position?

As a candidate for public office, I recognize the importance of transparency and accountability in government. I believe that effective communication is critical for building trust and engaging residents in the decision-making process. If elected, I will prioritize open and honest communication with residents, council members, and the administration, and will work to ensure that all voices are heard and represented in city governance. I will strive to provide regular updates and opportunities for feedback, and will work to bridge any gaps that may exist between different stakeholders. Together, we can build a more informed, engaged, and collaborative community that works for the benefit of all.

3. What are three policy initiatives you plan to focus on if elected?

  • As a public servant, I am committed to fostering open and ongoing communication with residents. To that end, I will utilize various channels to keep residents informed about important issues and initiatives. In addition to implementing a regular newsletter, I will continue to host community conversations and attend events to engage with residents and solicit feedback. I believe that this type of two-way communication is essential for building trust and ensuring that the needs and priorities of residents are being heard and addressed.

  • Regarding the comprehensive plan for the City of Ravenna, I am committed to supporting its development and approval. A comprehensive plan is essential for managing growth and development in a way that is sustainable, efficient, and beneficial for the community. I believe that this plan will help us to identify opportunities for economic growth and development while preserving the character and quality of life that makes our community unique.

  • In terms of economic development, my focus will be on fostering an environment that is conducive to business growth and attracting investment. This will involve a multifaceted approach that includes business retention, creation of new businesses, and access to a skilled workforce. I believe that by supporting economic development, we can create new job opportunities for residents and strengthen the overall health and vitality of our community.

4. What can local governments do to encourage young adults to stay in Northeast Ohio?

To encourage young adults to stay in Northeast Ohio, local governments can take several steps to support entrepreneurship, affordable housing, public transportation, job opportunities, and community engagement.

8. Describe your vision on public safety and your plans for crime prevention?

Public safety is a crucial issue for any community, and preventing crime is an essential component of maintaining public safety. A main component is collaboration between law enforcement, community groups, and other stakeholders to prevent crime. By working together, we should be able to identify and address local crime problems more effectively.
